Integrated Cassette Housing

An integrated aluminum housing cassette protects the fabric from the elements resulting in a cleaner and longer lasting awning. The valance slides out so it can be removed in the winter or when away as well as easily cleaned.

EZ Pitch Adjustment

Ours EZ-Pitch adjustment is a high-valued premium awning feature that comes standard with all of our awnings. Our EZ-Pitch makes pitch changes as easy as can be. Customers may easily adjust the slope, or pitch, of their awning by themselves by using a crank, turning the pitch pin on either side, thanks to our EZ-Pitch Adjustment. Almost all competitor’s awnings require customers to use a ladder and an Allen wrench to line up the pitch to suggested stationary settings. Even more, customers usually don’t adjust the pitch by themselves and instead call on technicians to handle this complicated process for them.

We install your awning. We can wall mount on wood, brick, and vinyl sides, or roof mount. It takes two to five brackets depending on width. It can be as quick as an hour on walls, three or so on roofs. We enjoy challenges and will look at special needs, build out, and surface others won’t.
No, the awning can stay up all the time, and the fabric is protected by the all weather housing. Some competitors’ awnings require a special cover in the winter, ours does not. The valance is removable. We do recommend you remove and store the valance in the winter.

Awnings are shown to be used more often when motorized. Today’s electric motors are economical, reliable, and convenient and have made manually operated retractable awnings almost a thing of the past. The motor only draws about 1 ½ amps and plugs into any outside 110 outlet. Our awnings do have a manual over ride standard in case of loss of electricity.

Our retractable awning arms are engineered to stand up to light and moderate winds up to 25mph. They can be equipped with a wireless wind sensor that will activate and retract the awning at those levels. However, if it seems windy or like a storm is coming up, retract the awning yourself! On sunny, windy days you can extend the awning partially to still protect the interior of your home from sun. They can also be equipped with wind poles for higher wind areas.
The manufacturer’s motor warranty is five years. We have found it so reliable we extend it another five years. Sunbrella awning fabric carries a ten year limited warranty. LED lights also carry a ten year warranty. Components have a ten year warranty. There is a minimum service fee for us to come out and service or change components. Wind sensors carry a three year warranty.
There are two Phillips head screws on each end of the front bar. Remove the bottom screw on both ends so the end cap swings out of the way and slowly guide the valance out. It goes back in the same way.
The awnings are practically maintenance free. Sunbrella fabric cleaning and care instructions are on our site. We recommend washing the frame and fabric once per year with mild soap and water. No pressure wash. No detergent. We also recommend spraying the movable parts on the arms once a year with a silicone.
Wind sensors are battery operated and will require new AAA batteries at some point and time. The wind sensor actually “beeps” when new batteries are needed. We will have a video link shortly that shows you how change batteries and program the wind sensor. It carries a three year warranty.
The fabric is water resistant. Water won’t hurt the awning fabric, and can be utilized in light to moderate rain. The pitch or angle of the awning can be adjusted down using the EZ Pitch so that water cleanly runs off. Also it is stronger if you shorten the extension. Caution: do not leave the awning out unattended. Caution: do not let water accumulate or “pool” on the awning. Caution: do not leave the fabric rolled up wet, make sure you take it back out as soon as you can and allow the air to dry it.
